BAROMETER,
STAYING THE COURSE...AND THE GREAT ADVENTURE CONTINUES
By H.E. Henri EYEBE AYISSI, Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure
It is important to make a brief but significant assessment of all the actions undertaken and carried out.
The purpose of this exercise is to effectively and peacefully anticipate the future, with a view to improving our contribution to the implementation of the Great Opportunities of the Political Programme initiated and skilfully conducted in our country by President Paul BIYA, President of the Republic, Head of State, that is his brainchild.
In addition to the measures and actions at the sectoral level, it has been necessary to take more extensive and more general measures aiming at improving land governance in general.
I have signed around sixty circular letters on urgent and permanent measures to help optimise the management of national land assets, mainly through scrupulous compliance with the letter and in line with the legal provisions in force, and a more rigorous monitoring of the procedures prescribed in handling the corresponding files. The main objectives include:
Safeguarding the living space of local communities; reducing the number of land disputes and litigations; strengthening the regulatory framework for protecting and securing land and property rights and the corresponding titles.
MINDCAF has opted not to relent and to resolutely pursue its efforts to consolidate and modernise our land governance.
This vision is being implemented through managerial and social governance tools. In this case, an essential and decisive communication tool. The MINDCAF website, is eagerly awaited by our various targets (citizens, users, technical and economic partners, Internet users, etc.) on the web, through this digital platform open and available to all.
Indeed, MINDCAF opens up to you, through its website, a veritable platform for reporting and informing on our activities and actions; giving you a voice and listening to your concerns, in order to find appropriate, fair and available solutions, in accordance with the missions and duties assigned to us by the Government of the Republic. /.
