Dr Engon Sopoh Blandine, an oncologist, explained the causes, symptoms and prevention methods of this disease which is claiming the lives of many women. Women were advised to do a breast self-examination (using circular motions from the upper to the lower part of the breast, and then over the nipple) every month after menstruation.
Dr. Ngon Mbock Jacques gave practical advice on endometriosis (the presence of the endometrium outside of the uterus). He pointed out that the causes are still unknown and that treatment is only symptomatic. In the same vein, madam the inspector advised women to take good care of themselves by having routine check-ups and eating low-fat foods. After the conference, the women attended and participated in a liquid soap-making workshop
