INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S RIGHTS DAY AT MINDCAF
The Amazons of MINDCAF applauded by the First Lady
On the morning of 8 March this year, a crowd of women from all walks of life converged at the 20th May Boulevard in Yaounde, before the First Lady of Cameroon, Mrs Chantal BIYA, for a unique and colourful march past.
MINDCAF stood out for its performance, which was applauded by Mrs Chantal BIYA, wife of the Head of State. The march past marked the climax of a busy week, full of scientific, recreational and cultural activities.
The vibrant, young, beautiful and elegant women of MINDCAF, clad in the Women’s Day fabric, carryring special effigies and specific messages from the Ministry of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure for the occasion, in line with the chosen central theme, demonstrated their talent for synchronising their steps in a meticulously orchestrated rhythm. They captured the attention of the audience as they marched past before the First Lady and a host of VIPs and guests invited for the occasion. This was a proof that MINDCAF is not only at the heart of land management in Cameroon, but is also concerned with strengthening the bonds of sharing, collaboration and courtesy between colleagues and with the hierarchy.
The Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, in his capacity as super coach of the MINDCAF Amazons, expressed his satisfaction with the ladies' performance at the 20th May Boulevard and assured them of his full support and his desire to always place MINDCAF women at the centre of all his concerns.
