AUDIENCE MINDCAF RECEIVES RESULTS OF THE SOA MULTIPURPOSE CADASTRE PROJECT

The Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure (MINDCAF), Henri Ey ebe Ayissi, today received a delegation from Expertise France led by Sébastien Dupuis, Coordinator of the Urban Development Unit. The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to monitor the strategic “Urban Platform in Cameroon” (PUC) project, funded by the European Union.

Discussions focused primarily on the status of the multipurpose cadastre pilot project being implemented in Soa Council. On this occasion, the Minister reaffirmed MINDCAF’s central role in the process, which fully aligns with its mandate to secure land tenure and digitise surveys.

The Expertise France delegation, which also included National Representative Murielle Bisseck, commended the excellent collaboration with the Ministry’s teams. Thanks to the synergy between surveyors from both sides and the integration of work into the geodetic network, field operations have already led to the identification of 20,000 registered parcels of land. This work covers a surface area of 330 km² for an estimated population of 80,000 inhabitants, marking a significant step towards the modernisation and reliability of Cameroon’s surveys.
