AUDIENCE AT MINDCAF
AGRO PARK PROJECT
On 12 March 2025, the Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure granted an audience to the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group to discuss the portfolio of agricultural projects in Cameroon. The audience took place in the Conference Room of Ministerial Building No. 2.
Representatives of the African Development Bank, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, other partners of the project and the Development of the Central Plain project attended the audience.
This is a project that has been skilfully managed by MINDCAF teams since it was planned. MINDCAF is acting as a facilitator in the process of allocating and providing available and secure lands to investors wishing to acquire them, in strict compliance with the legislation in force in Cameroon.
A number of recommendations were made, including raising awareness among the riparian population on the rationale of this very important project, seeking synergy between the various institutions involved to ensure proper management of the land allocated so that it meets the environmental management requirements for agricultural and livestock breeding projects, and sharing parcels of secured land according to each stakeholder's means of deployment and investment.
The selection of agri-businesses will be done by appointed committee that will be responsible for carefully review the proposals from such industrialists.
