LAND REFORM IN CAMEROON : THE LITTORAL AND SOUTHWEST REGIONS AT THE CENTER OF CONSULTATIONS
The process of developing the National Land Tenure and State Property Policy document, has reached a new milestone with the launch of the Inter-regional consultation workshop, involving the Littoral and Southwest regions. The premises of Hotel SAWA, hosted this two day’ workshop organised from the 20th -21 august 2025, under the chairmanship of the Minister of State Property Surveys and Land Tenure -Henri Eyebe Ayissi.
Chaired by the Governor of the Littoral Region, Samuel Ivaha Diboua, the workshop was aimed at ensuring a participatory and inclusive process by including all stakeholders involved in land governance. That is administrative and traditional authorities, representatives of decentralized local authorities, civil society organization among others.
The overall objective to develop a policy framework that takes into consideration local realities and aspiration of the population cannot be over emphasized.
